Joyful, Joyful: May 2013

It has been a fast couple of months! Both babies are on the move, and they are keeping me on my toes. I am loving watching them explore and figure out their world. It is so much fun seeing their little brains develop! By their 10 month birthday, both girls were crawling. It is quite an interesting crawl- they both crawl with their right leg up. It would look funny to see one baby crawling that way, and the fact that both of them crawl that way is really humorous. They are both pulling up on everything! It is one of their favorite things to do! One of their favorite places to pull up is the front windows. We sit at the front windows a lot and look outside. It is one thing I did not realize I would love about our house but I am so thankful for floor length windows. Both girls also are obsessed with Delta. Mary Kates says "Del-A" all the time, and I think I actually heard Sally say it this morning. They laugh when they see him, and they laugh when he kisses on them. He is pretty gentle with them, and plays pretty well with them. At 11 months, they are eating almost everything. They still love avocado, banana, turkey, yogurt, cheese, puffs, etc. I have also spoiled them and introduced them to homemade bread, which they adore! Whats not to love! As always, they are enthralled with their Dada and crawl around saying his name all the time. Whenever he walks through the door, he is greeted by two huge smiles! They are still taking two 2 hour naps and sleeping well at night (except for right now bc they are sick. Mary Kate has croup, and Sal has a bad cold.) Right around their 11 month birthday, they both took some steps behind the walker. Both girls were pretty surprised and excited when this happened. Sal is learning to give you a kiss, and Mary Kate has started clapping. It is crazy how quickly they change and grow. We love every second- even the hard ones! So thankful for these two, double blessings. Here are some pictures from the last couple of months.
