Easter 2015

Easter has always been a favorite holiday mine. I love celebrating the resurrection and everything it stands for. I honestly think the girls might love Easter more than Christmas. The idea of hunting and collecting eggs with treats in them was soo exciting. We talked a lot about the Easter story and that Jesus is alive. That's what I tried to have them take away from Easter- Jesus is alive! We had a full weekend of egg hunts, Easter Eve concert at the Levitt Shell, church, and spending time with family. It was a wonderful weekend.

We dyed eggs with some friends.

Their hands looked like Shrek!

When we tried to put stickers on the eggs, once we got home, the girls started peeling the hard boiled eggs.

Our neighbors, the Delanys, did another surprise egg hunt for the kids in the cove this year.

We had an egg hunt at my parents house for some friends.

Loved our time with E and Ruth.

Sunday morning egg hunt

Getting ready for Easter church was tough. Things did not go like I had expected or planned. Ford reminded me that this is why Jesus died- because things don't go as planned. Life is messy and we need a Savior.

the girls had a ball dancing at the Levitt Shell. They danced their little hearts out.

a few more spring pictures/annual Botanic Garden pics

Here are a few more Spring pictures that I wanted to add to the blog. I am soooo glad it is Spring! The freezing winter was wearing me down. The girls are growing up so much!! They are so much fun! Their little personalities are developing so much, as is their relationship. Discipline is a constant around here. Regardless, I love them so much and am so thankful for their little lives.
Mary Kate at a doctors appt

Every Spring, I try to take the girls pictures in the daffodils at Botanic Gardens.
Sal wanted to hold her baby, which is appropriate because babies are her favorite things!! and Mary Kate wanted to hold her basket. She is my collector!

all smiles on the way back to the car.

Loving her daddy!

We went to the River with Ruth. So beautiful!! the girls loved it!!

Spent time with these friends, who were in town for Lisa's baby shower!

The girls are obsessed with Delta.

and they are obsessed with baby Luke.

Where do I begin?

How do I catch up on the last 4 months?? I don't know. I am going to do my best so here goes nothing. Here is Christmas to Easter in 1 post.

These top two pics were out pictures on our Christmas cards

I took a girls trip to Nashville with Nell, Sheley and Sara Tyson. We went to hear Ellie Holcomb and Ann Voskamp. It was a great night away. This first pic is with a poet who read during the show, Amena Brown, and one of my favs, Ellie.

This pic is with Ann Voskamp. So amazing to meet her. Ford set it up, through Drew Holcomb, so we could have VIP tickets, which allowed us to meet Ann.

We went to the Peabody to see the Christmas decorations with Brittany and Maggie. This is a tradition we have started with the girls.

We did snowy nights.

We did the Pink Palace with Grandmary.

Grandmary spent a lot of time in the hospital this winter. Thankful she is much better. When I commented on her situation in this photo, she said "My allegiance is first to God and then to Texas".
