First time in the Grove

We took the girls to the grove this last weekend for the Ole Miss/ Arkansas game. They did really well, and had a blast. We stayed in the game for about a quarter. After that, we went to the grove for a couple of hours and walked around. They both went without much of a nap, and did really well. They LOVED walking around the grove. Mary Catherine, Tim, and Greer were in town as well. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Grandmary gave the girls little bears that play "The eyes of Texas". They want it played all the time and they rock back and forth to the music.

Halloween

Ford and I both laughed that we really felt like we experienced a lot of Halloween this year. The girls wore their costumes A TON! We went to Zoo Boo with the Haymonds. Our cove had a huge party at the Delanys house. Halloween night we had friends over to eat and to hang out in the cove. It was a really fun time! Here are some pictures from Halloween.

We went to the second Baptist pumpkin patch with Cate and Dex.

This is not really a Halloween picture but we had dinner with the Spences and the Womacks around Halloween so I wanted to include it. Lots of babies!

Lately

I feel a little overwhelmed with blogging and not sure where to start. A lot has happened since I last posted. The girls are 17 months old, which is hard to believe. I guess the biggest thing that has happened is the girls are 100 percent walking now. They started really taking off the week of October 20 and they have not looked back. They are loving walking everywhere. They are trying to say more words. Sally is talking more than Mary Kate right now. She can say "hi", "night night", "wa wa (water)", " ba ba" (bottle), "no-no", "bow", "ball" and some other words. Mary Kate is still babbling a lot. Both girls understand a lot of what I say. They can bring me their shoes, and know what "sit down" means. They know what it means to brush their hair and to put their bow in their hair. It is pretty amazing to me how much they understand. Sally makes lots of noises (Aunt Sla calls them dinosaur noises) because she is trying so hard to talk. I know words will start coming out of their mouths soon. Mary Kate says some of the same words Sal does, but she has not been talking as much. Both girls still do some sign language- "please" (which they use all the time- for most things they want), "eat", "all done" being the signs they use most. We are learning to share and working on what it means to share and play together. They are loving bath time. It is a fun time for them to play together because they are contained and not walking in opposite directions. They are still taking two naps a day. Mary Kate can skip her morning nap, but Sally still needs hers. During the morning nap, I put them in their beds with a couple of books and a doll and they at least have "rest time". Most days, they both fall asleep for atleast an hour and a half. Some days, Mary Kate doesn't fall asleep and she will just play in her bed for about an hour or so.
They are pretty good eaters- hard to believe since they are 9th and 15th percentile in weight but they eat pretty well. They love avocado, banana, waffles, grapes, strawberries, blueberries (sometimes), turkey, cheese, granola bars, vege straws, couscous, tomatoes, quinoa, pizza, applesauce, etc. They still take 3 bottles a day. I KNOW its time to move on to the sippy cup for milk. They just don't drink enough from the sippy cup. Speech therapy is coming this week to help me with this.
Sally.s scoliosis is doing really well. We recently went for an x-ray and her curve has decreased from 29 degrees to 15 degrees. We are still doing physical therapy and praying the Lord heals her of her scoliosis as she keeps walking and is upright.
Here are some pictures of life lately:

Mary Kate is SUCH a mess. She laughs all the time.

Delta had a scary episode where we thought he had a seizure. Thankfully he is ok. Sal was giving him some love after his scary episode.

These two love Sassy.

These two were prayed for in this room by the elders and ministers of our church. Such a testimony of God's faithfulness to see them walking through this room.
