No santa, No santa, No santa!

We took the girls to Bass Pro Shop again this year to see Santa. The line was a 2 hour wait- crazy! They had the best time "killing time" in Bass Pro Shop. They were all smiles until we got up to see Santa- then the flood gates opened. The whole way to the parking lot, they kept saying, "No Santa, No Santa, No Santa". When they got home, they took their Santa placemats off the table and the Santa ornament off the tree. So funny. They are better now and are talking about Santa again. The best part is that they love talking about Jesus and singing about Jesus. When we first walked in Bass Pro shop, Sally asked " I wanna see Jesus", instead of " I want to see Santa". It makes my heart rejoice to hear them singing their favorite songs. Right now they love Jesus loves me and Away in a manger. I pray they will always want to see Jesus. I pray that He captures their heart from an early age because without Him, we have nothing.  Here are some pics from Santa..

I was able to participate in the St Jude marathon relay this past weekend. These are some pics from the race. I loved getting to do it.

lastly, a favorite picture of mine of the girls waiting for Sassy and Grandmary to drive up. So much joy.

Thanksgiving!

We had a sweet, simple Thanksgiving this year. I hosted Evan, Mimi, and Grandaddy. Ev spent a lot of time with us just hanging out. It was laid back and a lot of fun. We also loved having Mimi and Grandaddy here. They only came for dinner because Grandaddy is still recovering from his hip replacement. I was thankful for a laid back holiday, but I definitely missed our other family members who couldn't be with us. We have so much to be thankful for. I asked the girls a lot what they were thankful for. They usually said Jesus, Mama, Daddy, Sally, Sissy. and then they would go through the other family members. They learned what a turkey says and loved saying "gobble, gobble!" One thing I did with them this year that I really loved was I let them cook a lot with me. They love cooking! They helped make three dishes. It is amazing how long that holds their attention. One of the biggest things we are thankful for is Uncle Clarke got engaged to Khrystya, They are getting married April 25, so we are very excited about that. I wish I could post the video we made them but it is on onedrive and I don't think I can post it on the blog. Thanksgiving weekend, we also got our Christmas tree, and Ford and I headed to oxford for the Egg Bowl. It was a wonderful time to get away for the day. And it helped make the day even better that it was such a good game, and Ole Miss came out with a Win! Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Sheley, Sara Tyson, and I hosted a Friendsgiving on Sunday before Thanksgiving at Jim's Place Grille for about 30 people. It was so much fun! Such a great time to give thanks for the friends the Lord has brought in our lives. We are excited about making this an annual tradition.

Thankful for my people! Sad I didn't get a picture of Mimi and Grandaddy. They had to leave quickly because Grandaddy's hip was hurting.

Loving Uncle E. He was reading their bedtime Bible story.

Picking out our tree

We got to go on the field before the game, which was awesome! So cool!

The Grove- Ole Miss/UT

We took the girls to the Ole Miss/UT game this year. The grove was packed and everyone was so excited because the Rebels had a winning record. We had fun being there! We went to the Farris' tent and to the Crawford's tent. It was a challenging day, as well as a fun day. The girls didn't nap and were tired  and my iPhone was stolen (thankfully, private investigator, Ford, got it returned). Here are some pics from the day.

Our grove attire supplied by Rev

Sal fell asleep on Sassy and took a nap in the grove. It was so loud! I couldn't believe she could sleep.

Mary Kate ate a lot of sugar to make up for no nap! Here she is on a sugar high!! :)

Peabody ducks/Cedar Hills/random pics

When Aunt Sandra and Betty were in town, we went down to the Peabody to see the ducks. It was a lot of fun. The girls loved the ducks. We went to a pumpkin patch three different times. :) We have been out to the Halford's farm. We continue to cheer for our Rebels despite our last two losses.
