I have been so behind in keeping up with what we have been doing lately. Life with our girls is really busy but it is really sweet. It is hard- having 2 two year olds is no joke but it is also so sweet. The girls are talking up a storm. They truly love one another. Don't get me wrong- they fight and they don't want to share etc, but they have definitely developed a bond. It is funny- I would say Mary Kate is the more "attached" twin. I would think it would be Sally because she is more reserved but it is Mary Kate. She always wants to be where Sissy is. I have been praying for them to be close friends for a long time, and it is a blessing to see them love one another. Our joke at the beach was "Where's Sissy?" Whenever one of them was without the other, they would run around asking "where's Sissy?" over and over again until they found each other. Clarke and Evan thought this was hilarious! Right now, they both know Sally's name is "Sally" but they call Mary Kate "Sissy". Sally has said "Mary Kate" a couple of time, in a very Southern drawl. :) We have started being very interested in the potty and we try to go to the potty a lot. We aren't full on potty training- just going when they are interested. So far, this seems to be working well. Sal is a little nurturer- she rubs Mary Kate's back when Mary Kate is sitting on the potty. No personal space allowed in this house. The girls have almost climbed out of their cribs so I am trying to figure out our next step with that and with giving up the paci. We are going to give our paci/s to Baby Luke- we just need to figure out when to do it. The girls are funny- making jokes and playing little tricks on each other and on us. We are definitely knee deep in disciplining and working through what it means to obey and what it means to be kind, share, love one another, etc. They have become pretty picky eaters lately. Apparently, this is normal with toddlers but I am hoping they grow out of it. Their favorite food at the moment is Mimi's bread. They both are in love with babies. They carry their babies lots of places. They love having their babies swaddled. They are in love with real babies. We talk about Baby Luke constantly. They are going to Special Kids and Families two days a week (M and W from 9-12). This has been such a blessings. They love school and have done really well with it. I think school has helped their speech so much. It has definitely been a blessing. So, now on to some pictures.
I haven't even blogged about our beach trip with my family so I am going to include pictures from the beach in this post. I haven't blogged about it because honeslty, it was such a special week, I have been overwhelmed trying to think about how to describe it. I will let the pictures do the talking. I will say that I am beyond thankful for the time we had as a family and that Clarke was able to be home for the beach and the week after the beach. The girls had the best time. They adored getting to spend time w E and Gawk, Sassy and Rev. and thank goodness- they loved the sand and the ocean. They were definitely little beach babies!! We spent most sunsets on the beach. I brought the girls dinner and they would eat on the beach and play while we had a glass of wine and appetizers. Heavenly! Wish I could go do this tonight!
